Configuring OpenSky with Multi-Type Drivers (DT6, DT7 and DT8)
This article describes how to configure an OpenSky device that is connected to a Multi-Type Driver (DT6, DT7 and DT8).
Note: In order to use this functionality, please make sure that your OpenSky device has firmware version 3.3.0 or higher installed. If this is not yet the case, please contact the Tvilight Support Desk.
Note: OpenSky Plus is not supported.
The reported address information is now shown as a informational table above the configuration form. The DT8 information is only displayed if one of the detected drivers is DT8. If colour support is reported, the amount of channels will be displayed, and when colour temperature is supported, the coolest and warmest attributes are displayed as well:
The “Channel function“ now displays all available features (always) independent of the reported driver types:
In case of selecting “Intensity & Temperature“, the range can be manually set (or overwitten) by filling in the “coolest“ and “warmest“ fields:
This is particularly useful if the DT8 detection is incorrect, or not providing those parameters. In that case you can set them manually.
When selecting a channel-function of a certain type, the list view will reflect the matching driver_type in the list view regardless of the detected driver type:
